2024 Elections

These are our Democratic candidates for the 2024 General Election. Filing deadline for the June 18th Primary was 5:00 pm April 4, 2024. The official list of candidates that qualified for ballot access will be posted on Virginia Department of Elections website within two weeks after the candidate filing deadline.

General Election: Tuesday, November 5, 2024

Early Voting: September 20 – November 2

Vote early in person at the Floyd County Registrar’s Office, 100 E. Main St. #302, Floyd, VA 24091, Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm. The last day of in-person early voting is Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Curbside voting is available for people with disabilities or health risks.

Voter Registration Deadline: October 15

If you are a U.S. citizen and Virginia resident, and will be 18 years old by November 5, 2023, you may register to vote in the General Election at the Floyd County Registrar’s Office, online at iwillvote.com or at Virginia Department of Election’s Citizen Portal. We can also register you at our campaign office at 115 West Main Street, Suite A, Floyd, VA 24091 (two doors up from Chic’s Antiques). 

Deadline to request absentee Ballot: October 25

Apply to vote by mail at the Floyd County Registrar’s Office or visit the Virginia Department of Elections. Applications must be received by no later than 5 p.m. on October 25, 2024.


Register as late as Election Day and use a provisional ballot. 

General Election: Tuesday, November 5

Vote in person 6 am–7 pm at your polling location (scroll down for the map, or find your polling location at Virginia Department of Election’s Citizen Portal. Curbside voting is available during early voting and on Election Day for people with disabilities or health risks.

Voting Districts

On Election Day, voters in the Locust Grove district vote at Check Elementary School; Little River district at Floyd Elementary School; Courthouse district at Floyd County High School; Burks Fork district at Willis Elementary School, and Indian Valley district at Indian Valley Elementary.
