Election Day
November 7 @ 6:00 am - 7:00 pm
All seats in the Virginia state legislature, or General Assembly, and numerous local offices are subject to election this year.
On Election Day, voters in the Locust Grove district go to Check Elementary School; Little River, to Floyd Elementary School; Courthouse district to Floyd County High School; Burks Fork to Willis Elementary School; and Indian Valley to Indian Valley Elementary.
If you are a U.S. citizen and Virginia resident, and will be 18 years old by Nov. 7, 2023, you may register at the Floyd County Registrar’s Office, 100 E. Main St., Floyd, or online at iwillvote.com.
We can also register you at our campaign office. Normal registration closes October 16, 2023, although you may register as late as Election Day and use a provisional ballot. To apply for a mail ballot, visit the registrar or visit the state Department of Elections; that deadline is Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. We also have forms for registration and absentee ballot requests at our office.
